The build begins I started of by building the cockpit, painting and installing seats, pilots and controls. I then added a SC .52 four stroke methanol engine After about a week of work repairing existing damage and installing all the controls she was ready for a test flight and engine run in. All went well I taped off the cockpit, and gave the whole plane a coat of fuel resistant light grey paint. Green cam was added to the top surfaces. I then added stickers, painted markings including brazillian roundels. It was modelled on an exiting plane used for border recces along the amazon. And the first flight. She flew great, although she was a little slugish due to trying to spin a propellor an inch or so too big. Unfortunatly on the sixth flight it all went wrong. On take off the engine cut out at about 20 feet. She was going to slow for me to bring her back in and she went nose first into a field. The damage (as you can see) was terminal. Fortunatly, all the electronics and the engine were undamaged. So, with all the kit stripped out, she became a big pile of painted solar film and balsa. On to the next project.
